Pamela De Lacy is a 1981 graduate of La Crescent High School, La Crescent, MN. After abandoning plans to pursue veterinary science, she obtained a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biology from the University of
Wisconsin-La Crosse in 1985, and promptly began her career at the University of North Carolina. She later moved on to Pharma and then small Biotech before her entrepreneurial spirit inspired her to create her own business, Shenandoah Biotechnology, in 2006.
Shenandoah Biotechnology is a leading manufacturer of cytokines and recombinant proteins, specifically for the cell and gene therapy markets. Pamela sold her business to FujiFilm in March 2022, and used the proceeds from this sale to create the De Lacy Family Foundation. Giving back is a basic tenant of the De Lacy family, and we look forward to recognizing others who share in this belief.
